DESCRIPTION

CLTD50 Oxygen Scavenger is a rapid acting oxygen scavenger used to control corrosion in drilling fluids and oil production systems. CLTD50 is compatible with all water based drilling fluids. As part of a comprehensive corrosion program, it is highly cost effective in protection of tubular goods. CLTD50 is available in both catalyzed and non-catalyzed forms.

Assay: 50% to 55% Ammonium Bisulfite

pH: 4.9 to 5.5

Fresh Water: Soluble

Brine Water: Soluble

USAGE

CLTD50 can be added directly into the suction pit. Excess sulfites should be maintained at 20-25 ppm in brine drilling systems; in cut brine / fresh water systems excess sulfites should be maintained at 70-80 ppm. 1 gallon of CLTD50 per 1,000 barrels of fluid will generate 24 ppm excess sulfites. 10 ppm excess sulfites will treat out approximately 1 ppm oxygen. This corresponds to 10-15 gallons of CLTD50 per day in fresh water systems.
